The website is alive and well! With search engine optimization we are maintaining approximately 34 hits per week with 33 unique visitors and 424 pageviews, an increase over the prior two weeks.  We had 29 visits from Peabody, 15 from Salem, 4 from Lowell and 3 from Boston.....17 % were from mobile devices (doubled since January). The Blog page has received over 300 hits in February as a stand alone page in Google Blogger directory. Clothing Drive for Homeless Vets

There are much needed resources for local Vets serviced through the New England Center for Homeless Veterans. A recent plumbing problem caused a flood in their basement which damaged 100% of their supplies for female Vets and increased their need for donations to new levels.  Any contributions you can make would be most appreciated and here is a quick reminder about what works best:

·         Clothing items can be for both men and women but the need for women is especially urgent now

·         All sizes are needed

·         Donations must be in decent, gently used condition with no holes or rips

·         The clothes can range from casual (tees, sneakers, sweats) to professional work clothes (dress shoes, suits, dresses, skirts, pants, and tops)

·         Other items such as toiletries are a big help too

Donations will be collected up until March 8^th and you can drop them off in the canteen labeled New England Center for Homeless Vetereans. Sheila or Mark will pick them up.

The website is alive and well! With search engine optimization we went from 19 hits per week (2/day) to 58 and more than doubled our unique visitors, which means they hadn't visited the site before. 33 from peabody, 8 from lowell, 3 danvers, 2 washington, 1 beverly, 1 boston.....we boost those numbers and we can sell space. Plug the site. 90% from laptops, 10% mobile. 50/50 male/female, mostly age18-34. If we define the interests of this age group maybe we can offer something to boost membership and raise funds for the club. Members Meeting Minutes 1/13/2014

A special thanks to those of you who attended the meeting last night (1-13-2014). As a group, new ideas and bringing back old ideas were brought up. Those of you who couldn't make the meeting, missed out on a great discussion. We also had the pleasure of signing up 2 new vets...Michael Levesque and Kory Desmond...welcome home to both of you and thank you for your service. The monthly Sunday dinner, run by Don White, will be starting soon...watch for updates. Dart tournaments, a motorcycle run, and a flea market/craft fair is being planned.
